Cookie policy
Browser storage, optional analytics and your choices.

Essential storage
Sign-in sessions use authentication cookies to recognise your account. PARAGLIDE_LOCALE remembers your selected language. These functions do not require permission for analytics. Google sign-in starts when you select the Google sign-in option, rather than through an automatic site-wide prompt.
Your analytics choice is saved in the HTTP-only cookie fc_attribution_consent for one year and in browser local storage under fc_analytics_consent_v2 until you change it or clear site data. A separate first-party refusal cookie fc_analytics_denial lasts up to one year and prevents a delayed response from overriding withdrawal. A temporary storage check is removed immediately. These preferences do not identify you for advertising.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics 4, Plausible and Microsoft Clarity load only after you allow analytics and your choice is successfully saved and checked. We use the enabled services to understand visits and improve the site. Declining leaves them off and does not block sign-in or purchases.
Plausible records public page visits and visits to the payment success page without analytics cookies. We supply a page path without query parameters or a referrer, and disable automatic form, download and outbound-link tracking. Clarity records clicks, scrolling and interactions on eligible public pages and the payment success page, with personal information masked. It is excluded from account, sign-in, admin, creation and other checkout pages. Google Analytics receives the site's restricted list of page and conversion events without names or email addresses. For the first page of a visit it also receives the referring site's address (domain only) and any campaign tags (utm_ parameters), so we can tell search and campaign visits apart; other query parameters are removed. Advertising storage and advertising personalisation remain disabled.
Google Analytics may use cookies beginning with _ga; Clarity may use _clck and _clsk. Their expiry depends on the service configuration. When campaign attribution is enabled, first-party cookies record a random visitor ID (fc_vid, one year), first source (fc_ft, 90 days), latest source (fc_lt, 30 days), test assignment (fc_exp, one year) and a sign-up marker (fc_su, ten minutes). These attribution cookies are written only after analytics permission.
Changing your choice
Use Analytics preferences wherever the analytics controls are shown. Rejection in either browser or server preferences takes precedence over an older permission. If the choice cannot be saved or checked, analytics stays off and the page displays a retry message.
Withdrawal stops new analytics events and clears applicable first-party analytics and attribution cookies. When the rejection has been saved, the page reloads to remove already-loaded analytics software. Your choice is synchronised across tabs in the same browser. You can also clear cookies and site data. Withdrawal does not delete data already received by an analytics provider; see our privacy policy for data requests and provider information.
Advertising and other services
This site's analytics permission does not authorise advertising. An AdSense account-verification tag may be present, but it does not load advertising software. Any future advertising or live-chat service will require its own review and appropriate disclosure before activation.
